CPA
(Own Evaluation Committee)

The purpose of the Evaluation Commission (CPA) is to coordinate the execution of activities related to the institutional evaluation of Facens, in accordance with the guidelines, criteria and strategies established by the National System for the Evaluation of Higher Education - SINAES (provided for in article 11 of Law 10.861, of April 14, 2004, and created by Ordinance 08/04 of July 01, 2004, is governed by its own regulation and by the legislation and rules in force for the Federal Education System).

Aiming at improving the quality of higher education, permanently increasing its institutional efficiency and academic and social effectiveness, all in line with the Bylaws and policies defined for the preparation and management of the Institutional Development Plan of Facens.

Therefore, the CPA's main attribution is to coordinate and monitor the internal processes (self-assessment) and external assessments (such as Assessments on-site visit, ENADE, CPC, IGC, among others) in all stages until its conclusion, taking into account the importance of Institutional Assessment, the result of which aims to improve academic quality, in all areas.

The CPA has the following composition:

1 Committee Coordinator;
6 Faculty Representatives;
2 Student Body Representatives;
3 Representatives of the Technical-Administrative Body;
1 Alumni Representative;
2 Civil Society Representatives.

The members of the CPA are chosen and designated by the Presidency and have a term of office of 3 years, with the possibility of reappointment.

The Institutional Self-Assessment model was designed to cover all dimensions encompassing academic activity, management, services provided and the infrastructure of the University Center.

What is expected is a positive internal and external evaluation. For this, IES currently works with 3 types of survey: Student, Professor and Coordinator Satisfaction Survey; the NPS index (Net Promoter Score) and the Engagement Survey. Undergraduate, Technological Graduate and Postgraduate Lato Sensu courses are evaluated.

The Institutional Self-Assessment is applied in multiple cycles, each semester, in all classes (students and professors) eligible for assessment, generally taking place between the months of May and June (1st semester) and November and December (2nd semester).

In order for its application to be carried out following clear and well-defined steps, the CPA opted to formalize a process that allows the academic community to actively participate in these steps, in addition to providing better follow-up.
