The Facens Library has ample space and a large collection. It aims to support and encourage research, providing bibliographic information to its users, which ranges from faculty to students and engineers from Sorocaba and region.

It is located in building H and is distributed over two floors:

The superior one, with individual and group study rooms.

And the lower one, with all the collection, administration and technical assistance and processing services.

The library system allows queries to the collection to be made electronically or in the library itself. The loan is optional for faculty, students and employees. For the community, local consultation is allowed.

Collection Update Plan 

The update of the collection is based on: 

  • Suggestions made by course coordinators, teachers and students; 
  • Selections in release catalogs by publishers; 
  • Indications of the librarian taking into account the basic priorities of the users, in relation to the already existing collection.

Important Notices

The Pergamum System sends an email to remind you of the date to return the material. 

Failure to receive the notice does not exempt you from paying the fine. The return of overdue items implies payment of a fine of R$ 3,00 per business day and per borrowed volume. 

Renewal will only be allowed (maximum of 2 renewals) of items that do not have a reservation. If there is a reservation, the student must return the item at the library counter on the scheduled date.
