Liquid Galaxy is an open source project founded by Google in 2008. It started as a panoramic multi-monitor viewer for Google Earth, but has evolved to become a general data visualization tool for operations, marketing and research capable of offering the possibility from viewing panoramic images and videos, developing interactive tours, and displaying GIS data graphically.

Liquid Galaxies are regularly used to showcase Google's geospatial technologies and to promote its image at trade shows and exhibitions.

Universities such as Auburn University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Westfield State University, University of Lleida and University of Western Sydney also use Liquid Galaxies, as does Facens.

During the last few years, Facens has actively participated in the development of several systems based on GIS technologies, in which it has won prestigious scholarships for 5 students in Google Summer of Code (2019 and 2020), and collaborates with universities in more than 10 different countries.
